Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School is Grade 7-11 public school in Nepean, a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2009, it is the first school on the OCDSB to encompass grades 7 through 11.
The school opened in September 2009 providing services for Grades, 7, 8, 9,10, and 11 (Will later expand to educate grade 12). The vice-principals (Tim Hawes, Alain Brule) and 7 staff members were hired.
The facility itself is slightly renowned for making several championships within the Ottawa area. The Junior Girls basketball team won the city championships in 2010-2011. It has had several contestants for science make it to regional finals in several locations including the present location in Toronto. In May 2011, the grade 8 concert and jazz band of LDHSS traveled to Vancouver, B.C. to compete in the MusicFest Canada Nationals conducted by the school musician, Mandar Gumaste.They were the only ensembles representing Ottawa at the competition and earned a earned a gold standing for their jazz band and a silver standing for their concert band. The varsity girls' rugby team had a good season this year of 2010/2011.
